Agatu LG chairman Hon. Melvin James Ejeh assures Agatu the release of the farmer arrested in connection to poisoning the herder’s cow.
The executive chairman of Agatu Local government, Hon. Melvin James Ejeh has assured his people of his commitment to protect lives and properties of Agatu Local government, he further stated that his primary assignment is the protection of the people and their properties.
While speaking with the Agatu youth, he added that the people might be wrong or right, but it doesn’t stop a good father from protecting his evil child as well as the good ones.
This is in connection with the recent news of a farmer from Usha named Bawa Oneh who allegedly poisoned his farmer against the Fulani cow, which killed about 7 cows and immediately leading to others decapitated.
He assured all Agatu of following up the issue to ensure the interest of his people are protected, in addition he warns against any Agatu youth involving themselves in the destruction of anything belonging to Fulani, as this will dent the ongoing peace agreement between the Agatu communities and the Fulani community especially now that the Fulani are neither attacking anyone or intruding into their properties.
He urges all the people to stay calm and go about their daily routine as the situation is being arrested and further investigation is ongoing.
