Breaking News. HON. (BARR) ECHO BRINGS RAY OF HAPPINESS AND JOY TO EDIKWU WARD-2 OF APA LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF BENUE STATE DESPITE THE TRYING MOMENTS FOR HIS PEOPLE BY DONATING ALL HIS PAST SALARIES OF FIVE (5) MONTHS TO HIS PEOPLE.
The councillor representing the peace-loving people of Edikwu Ward-2 of Apa LGA of Benue State.
Being on the 4th of June 2025, the People’s Councilor, Hon. (Barr) A A Echo who’s popularly known as ” _The Village Lawyer_”, has donated his first five (5) months salaries to the youth’s forum of the five villages in his constituency. He stated this while addressing the Kindred Head of his home community, Chief Austin Echono (Ego)
This uncommon gesture is coming just 2days after several people were killed and maimed by the killer herdsmen in Ankpali Edikwu.
Below is the break down of how all the five (5) months salaries were distributed;
1. October 2024 salary is for the youth of Olekle community
2. November 2024 salary is for the youth of Opaha community.
3. December 2024 salary is for the youth of Ebugodo Community.
4. January 2025 salary is for the youth of Ankpali Community.
5. February 2025 salary is for the youth of Odugbo Community.
He briefed the Kindred Head of how he has been saving these salaries for capital projects for the electoral ward, but due to the present situation, he changed his mind to make it available to his people. He assured the Kindred Head of raising money to execute the capital projects he has intended.
The Kindred Head, in return could not hide his joy and appreciation to the young lawmaker. He said this is his first time he will be seeing such a bold commitment from a political office holder, he fervently prayed for him.
