Constituency project: Benue Lawmaker dragged by Activist
In a call for accountability, Comrade Paul Edoh Jr. has raised alarms regarding the stagnation of critical infrastructure projects in the Apa and Agatu Federal Constituency, highlighting the specific case of the long awaited electrification project in Igoro Community, which remains unresolved despite a substantial budget allocation since last year.
YResidents of the Apa and Agatu Federal Constituency are expressing deep frustration over the lack of progress and transparency surrounding the implementation of previously nominated projects, especially in light of many being absent from this year’s budget. A prominent issue is the electrification of Igoro Community, which was earmarked for a budget of N200,000,000. Despite this, the community remains without power or any indication of progress.
Comrade Paul Edoh Jr., a leading community activist, is leading the charge for clarity and action. “We urge Hon. Ojotu Ojema to provide an immediate update on the status of these essential projects. It is critical for constituents to understand why there are such significant delays in implementing infrastructure that directly impacts our daily lives,” he stated.
The absence of progress and communication has alarmed residents, who feel left in the dark literally and figuratively. Many are demanding a straightforward response from their representative regarding the reasons for the stalled projects and what measures are being taken to ensure their completion.
“Transparency and accountability are crucial,” Edoh Jr. emphasized. “Our community needs to see action and commitment from our leaders to fulfill their obligations. Constituents deserve regular updates on these projects to foster trust and encourage development in our constituency.”
The activist highlighted the necessity of addressing current infrastructure issues rather than diverting attention to trivial campaigns or hollow endorsements that provide no real benefit. “We must hold Hon. Ojema accountable for the responsibilities related to these projects to prevent unfinished business from becoming an issue for future leaders in our constituency.”
Edoh Jr. also called on Ojema to engage directly with the contractors involved in the electrification initiative to expedite progress. “It is vital that our concerns are heard and that we see actionable plans to bring essential services like electricity to the people of Igoro Community.”
With citizens eagerly awaiting a clear path forward, the pressure is on Hon. Ojotu Ojema to respond swiftly and transparently for the future of the Apa and Agatu Federal Constituency, despite wild allegations stating that, the Honourable member careless about constituents plight, even after been elected.
We wait to see if this demands will be meets by him.
