In a poignant appeal, Benue prominent social rights activist, Comrade Paul Edoh Jr., in one of his recent write up, called on distinguished Hon. Pastor Ojotu Ojema PhD, Honourable member representing Apa-Agatu federal constituency in the 10th National Assembly to reflect deeply on his political trajectory as he considers a potential move to the All Progressives Congress (APC). As the political landscape shifts, Edoh Jr. emphasizes that while Hon. Ojema may have powerful connections extending from Abuja to Otukpo, his future in the party remains uncertain.

Edoh Jr. urges Hon. Ojema to acknowledge the sentiments of his constituents, who have invested not only their hopes but also their aspirations in his leadership. “The God we worship in the heart of Apa and Agatu has conveyed a pivotal truth: Honourable Ojotu Ojema has but a single opportunity; complete the remaining eight year term left by Hon. Samuel Godday, and then pass the torch to someone new in 2027,” he states.

The activist points out that the party dynamics are ever changing, suggesting that Ojema should focus on supporting an Apa son for the upcoming election cycle rather than pursuing a path that may not serve the community’s best interests. “Numerous individuals will undoubtedly present themselves as candidates, but we must remain steadfast in our belief that only one will truly be chosen by the hand of providence,” Edoh Jr. adds.

As Hon. Ojema stands at a political crossroads, Edoh Jr. calls for open dialogue and unity within the constituency. He stresses the importance of accountability and the need for candidates who genuinely resonate with the community’s desires and aspirations. “The coming elections are not merely about party allegiance but about the collective future we envision for our people,” he remarks.

In his final note, Edoh Jr. implores Hon. Ojema to embrace the message of unity and stewardship, recognizing that the journey ahead will be fraught with challenges. Together, the constituency can navigate the turbulent waters of politics towards a brighter shore, promising progress and justice for all.
