OJEMA CONDEMNS GRUESOME MURDER OF 4 INHABITANTS OF AGATU BY SUSPECTED FULANI MILITIA Charges Security Agencies to redouble their efforts
The Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency and Chairman, House of Reps Committee on National Inland Waterways, Chief. Hon. Pst Ojotu Ojema, FESMI, has condemned in strong terms the gruesome murder of 4 Agatu farmers by suspected Fulani terrorists
It could be recalled that, Suspected Fulani Bandits on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, carried out simultaneous attacks on Egwuma and Ogbai communities in Agatu LGA, killing 4 farmers who were working in their farms, including Mrs Eunice Abu and her son Adanu Abu from Egwuma village.
The Aboh-OcheK’Idoma expressed his total shock and sadness over the unprovoked killings, wondering why such barbaric murders are still happening despite all the efforts by Leaders of the local government and deployment of security agencies to rural areas to prevent such ugly incidents.
Pst Ojema appreciated the efforts of the Men of the Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) and other sister security agencies in trying to end insecurity in the Federal Constituency, urging them to redouble their efforts.
He assured the people of the Federal Constituency of his relentless efforts until the insecurity ravaging rural communities across Apa and Agatu is curtailed, long lasting Peace and Security are restored.
The Performing and Award-winning Federal Lawmaker sympathized with the people of Agatu LGA, especially the bereaved families of victims, praying God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable losses.
