HON. JOSEPH KEFFI DEPLOYS SECURITY TROOPS TO ADAKA, CLEARS ARMED HERDERS’ HIDEOUT.

In a bold and strategic move to address the growing insecurity in parts of Makurdi Local Government Area, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Joseph Keffi, today led the deployment of military troops and security personnel to Adaka and surrounding communities.
The security operation aimed at restoring peace and stability, The troops are strategically stationed in Mbagbaange and Mbaku communities of Modern Market Ward Areas that have been heavily impacted by the activities of armed herders. These criminal attacks have led to mass displacement, disrupted farming activities, and severely undermined the livelihoods of residents.
In his address, Hon. Keffi expressed deep gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, for their unwavering support and swift response to the security challenges in the state.
He further called on residents to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and to fully cooperate with the deployed security forces. He emphasized that community support and collaboration are essential to defeating criminal elements and achieving lasting peace.
Reacting to the development, the Ter Makurdi, Chief Vincent Aule, commended the Executive Chairman for his proactive leadership and swift action in addressing the community’s security concerns.
Similarly, community leaders including Mr. Aondona Igbahyer of Mbagbaange and Hon. Christopher Senegh of Mbaku, lauded the Chairman’s efforts. They pledged full cooperation with the security forces and reaffirmed their commitment to working collectively towards creating a safer and more secure environment for all.
