“I won’t abandon you, Senator Moro assures the family of late PDP Chairman of Apa, Hon Abel Aboje, By John Anthony Ikwulono

“I won’t abandon you, Senator Moro assures the family of late PDP Chairman of Apa, Hon Abel Aboje, By John Anthony Ikwulono.

The Senate Minority Leader and Senator Representing Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Abba Patrick Moro PhD, has assured the family of the Former PDP Chairman of Apa Local Government, Hon Abel Aboje of his support to the family, saying he won’t abandon the family he left behind. Senator Moro who gave the assurance on Friday, 7th November, 2025 at Ofoke in Apa Local Government where the remains of Hon Abel Aboje were committed to mother earth, said, the children who are of School age, that may be having challenges of school fees, he would assist and equally put head together with the wives to plan what they can do to cater for the family without going through unbearable challenges.

His address;

“It’s not our wish to gather here to mourn Abel. It is our wish that our loved ones should be with us forever, but God has destined each and everyone and has allocated time for each person to leave this world when the time comes. We can’t question God and we can’t struggle with death.

“God who creates mouth, knows what to put in there, He will take care of the family he left behind. We won’t abandon Abel’s family. I will sit with the family to put our heads together to see what we can do to sustain the upbringing of the family. His children won’t drop out of School. Our party is like a family that does not forget its people.

“I urge the wives of Abel to rise up and be ready to join hands together with us to cater for the family.

“We are all indebted to death whether young or old. When we die, will people give good testimony about us? No matter how we cry, Abel won’t come back to life again. I lost my two Children some days ago.

“Abel was my personal friend and a good man who left a vacuum too difficult to fill.

“I urge PDP members to sustain the good legacy of late Abel, by lobbying for development to Apa, so that when next we gather here, the gathering will be for celebration of the good things Abel desired for Apa people.

“All Nigerians are gathered here because of how good Abel was, not because they don’t have anything to do in their various places.

“Today is not about party politics. Our lamentation should be that, roads, lights, transformers etc should be brought to Ofoke and other places in this axis.

“Let today be dedicated to Abel to be buried successfully so that his soul will rest in peace. Lets avoid politics at his burial. May God comfort us all. I thank you very much.”

Senator Moro was accompanied by the Benue State Chairman of PDP, Rt Hon Chief Ezekiel Adaji, and the State Working Committee of the party; The 23 PDP Local Government Chairmen; Ward Exco of Zone C; Hon.
