BREAKING: Defense Headquarters Directs Immediate Removal Of Non-Essential Static Military Roadblocks And Checkpoints Nationwide

 

The Nigerian Defense Headquarters has directed the immediate removal of non-essential static military roadblocks and checkpoints nationwide. This move is aimed at enhancing security and facilitating the free movement of people and goods.

 

According to reports, Defence Minister Christopher Musa announced that police officers and personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) will take over checkpoint duties from the military, allowing soldiers to focus on confronting terrorists and other security threats in the bush.

 

This development is expected to improve the overall security situation in the country and reduce the harassment of motorists and citizens at checkpoints.
