*IDOMA ANCESTRAL ROOTS CHALLENGES HON. MICHAEL INALEGWU’S ACCOUNT OF EGBA-OLOGBA CRISIS, ALLEGES COVER-UP*
In a Facebook post, _Idoma Ancestral Roots_ has pushed back against former Agatu Local Government Chairman Hon. Michael Umoru Inalegwu’s defense over the OLOGBA and EGBA crisis, following an allegations on him by Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor, demanding accountability, suggesting his narrative is riddled with “ignorance and stupidity” and pointing to alleged inconsistencies and unanswered questions.
Hon. Inalegwu had claimed the crisis escalated in 2008 under Otukwula Lawrence’s administration, long after his 1999-2002 tenure, and that his peace committee advised parties to appeal a 1972 Upper Area Court ruling when both sides presented identical documents. _Idoma Ancestral Roots_ counters this with findings:
– *Agatu LG was created in 1996*, and confrontations began in 1999 under Inalegwu, contradicting his timeline.
– Ologba submitted its judgment via Mr. Baba Ojepa, but the *original was allegedly altered* and not returned, sparking further legal battles (Case CV 40/…/1972 in Otukpo and OHC/29/2015 in Makurdi).
– *No record of Egba submitting the 1972 judgment* in any court, raising forgery suspicions. Inalegwu’s claim that Egba submitted it to him is questioned.
– The group asks: _Has a Nigerian court ever issued the same judgment to both parties? Why only Inalegwu received Egba’s document?_
Idoma Ancestral Roots urges Idoma sons and legal experts to scrutinize the 2015 judgment for clues, emphasizing pursuit of “truth and justice” amid “misinformation.” The post tags notable figures, including Fr. Hyacinth Alia, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and Benue State Government, seeking broader accountability.
