*AGATU LOCAL GOVERNMENT TAKES STEP TOWARDS PEACE IN EGBA-OLOGBA CRISIS*
In a bid to restore calm to the troubled Agatu community, Hon. Amb James Melvin Ejeh, Chairman of Agatu Local Government Council and Deputy Chairman of ALGON in Benue State, has convened a high-level security meeting. The meeting, held at the 401 Special Force Headquarters in Makurdi, brought together critical stakeholders from Egba, Ologba, and broader Agatu, emphasizing the urgent need for peace.
“Peace must return to Agatu,” the council’s statement, issued by Comrade Solomon Obochi, Media Aide to Hon. Ejeh, reads. Further details are expected to follow as the council works towards addressing the longstanding conflict, which has roots tracing back to 1972 over land and fish pond disputes.
