*Clement OYAJE Fires Back at Accountability Call, Labels It “Silly and Hilarious”*
In a sharp rebuttal, Clement Oyaje, spokesperson of the Egba community, has dismissed Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor’s demand for accountability over the Egba-Ologba crisis as “very silly and hilarious.” Oyaje emphasized that he has no accountability to give, stating the conflict predates his birth and was resolved amicably by a court of competent jurisdiction years ago.
Oyaje highlighted the peaceful coexistence of Egba and Ologba, citing intermarriages, including his sister’s marriage to an Ologba man. He accused Edor of creating “false awareness” and attempting to disrupt peace, suggesting the push is a “calculated, conspired, and strategic attempt” by individuals benefiting from the crisis to exploit the communities.
Oyaje questioned Edor’s motives, pointing out that Okokolo, Edor’s community, has had similar disputes without being called out. He emphasized the Egba traditional ruler holds the rightful ownership documents and urged Edor to promote peace instead of “causing more disaster.” Oyaje warned of potential legal action against anyone dragging him into the issue again, labeling Edor’s actions as “political blackmailing” and hinting at divine judgment on those perpetuating the crisis. ¹
