*King Wizzyben: Historical background of a Trailblazing Artist from Benue’s Soil*
Otache Bernard Emmanuel, affectionately known as King Wizzyben of Africa, hails from Uwaba-Ugboju village in Otukpo LGA, Benue State, Nigeria. Born into the family of late Mr. Otache Emmanuel, Wizzyben is the second of three children.
Wizzyben’s musical journey began at 10, with his first single recorded in 2008 under Early Brain Mission (EBM). He transitioned to Idoma rap in 2013, gaining local fame with the 2014 hit “Okle’kle” featuring DJ Penny.
A graduate of Agricultural Extension & Communication from Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Wizzyben has dropped notable tracks like “Gumbody”, “Adoka-Runs”, “Yawa”, and “Zungere”. His unique style has earned him recognition in the content industry as a musician and actor, with signature phrases like “Dat_IdomaBoi” and “Abar’K’barle”.
