*AGATU CRISIS PERSISTS AS LEADERS URGED TO SPEAK TRUTH*
Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor, Convener of Agatu National Youth Council, laments ongoing violence in Agatu, where brothers and sisters are being killed and people are fleeing for their lives. *Despite efforts to resolve the crisis, including writing and taking actions, the situation persists*.
Edor is giving a temporary break on highlighting the Ologba and Egba crisis, hoping stakeholders will find a permanent solution. *He spoke with the former DPO of Agatu, who stated that Agatu’s problem stems from internal issues and lack of truth among its people*.
The ex-DPO emphasized that *if Agatu leaders speak the truth, all crises will end*. Edor agrees, stressing the need for truth and proof to counter allegations, rather than ranting and threats.
*Some individuals oppose Edor’s stance on the crisis due to personal benefits or fear*. He clarifies he writes based on information, with no personal issues with leaders or persons.
*A recent incident in Omikwidi , Edeje and Aila involved gunshots, injuries, and people seeking medical attention*. Edor praises Agatu Chairman Hon. James Melvin Ejeh for deploying security to the scene and urges stakeholders to support a long-term solution.
Edor confirms speaking with the current DPO of Agatu, who reported security presence at the scene. *He appeals for support from stakeholders to prevent future incidents*.
“Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year to all Agatu people,” Edor says, calling for peace.
