*Idoma Youths Back Commissioner Amid ‘Mushroom School’ Row*
Dr. Margaret Adamu, Benue State’s Commissioner for Education and Knowledge Management, is facing backlash over allegations that she’s operating a substandard private school in Makurdi. The Benue Education Stakeholders Forum (BENEDS) claims the school, allegedly owned by Adamu, violates multiple regulations, including operating from a converted residential building without proper facilities.
The forum demands an independent investigation, citing concerns over conflict of interest and compromised educational standards. They’ve called for Adamu’s immediate removal pending the outcome of a transparent probe.
On the other hand, Idoma youths have expressed support for Adamu, describing the allegations as baseless and politically motivated. They praise her initiatives in improving education standards and urge stakeholders to reject “sensationalism and personal attack.
