*FISH POND DISPUTE SETTLED: Otukpo Court Hands Over Ponds to Ologba Community*
Otukpo High Court 1 has finally put an end to the long-standing dispute over a fish pond between Egba and Ologba communities in Agatu Local Government Area. The court has officially handed over ownership of the fish ponds, including Udu, Okatabu, Ochulo, Owenyi, Opeh, Enekogwu, and Olote, to Ologba community.
According to reports, Mike Ogwuche and Onma Ogbu Abel, who were assigned to execute the judgment, have confirmed that the Appeal Court and High Court of Justice Otukpo had earlier ruled in favor of Ologba Community, declaring them the rightful owners of the fish ponds and lands.
The Clan Head of Ologba, Chief Otache Paul, and the Ogago of Ologba, Chief Mohammed Haruna, have expressed gratitude to Governor Hyacinth Alia, the Och’Idoma, Dr. John Elaigwu, and other stakeholders for their support in ensuring justice is served. They’ve also called on the Egba community to embrace peace.
