*AGATU COMMUNITY PRAISES CHAIRMAN FOR STAND ON OLOGBA-EGBA CRISIS*
The Agatu National Youth Council (ANYC) has commended Hon. James Melvin Ejeh, Chairman of Agatu Local Government, for his courageous stance on the Ologba-Egba crisis.
In a statement, Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor, ANYC Convener, praised the Chairman for upholding the court ruling in favour of Ologba, despite pressure and potential backlash. The crisis, which has claimed thousands of lives since 1972, had been manipulated and exploited by previous leaders, but Chairman Ejeh’s bravery has brought hope for peace.
The ANYC urged Egba community leaders to publicly affirm their commitment to the court ruling and peace, and called for a press release to maintain order and promote development in Agatu. The organization pledged its support for Chairman Ejeh, hailing him as a true leader and the most sincere administrator Agatu has produced.
The statement also thanked stakeholders who contributed to the justice and peace efforts, emphasizing the importance of preserving lives and promoting development in the co8mmunity.
