*AGATU LEADERS SLAPPED WITH SHAME FOR OVERLOOKING LOCAL HERO’S ACHIEVEMENT*
Top Agatu officials, including James Melvin Ejeh, Ojimbili, Ojema and Godwin Abu Edoh, are facing backlash for failing to recognize Imoni Adoga Joshua’s outstanding achievement in a national academic competition.
Imoni, a student of Methodist High School, Obagaji, secured second place, bringing pride to Agatu and Benue State. However, instead of accolades, he’s met with silence from local leaders.
Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor, AIYA Convener, demands action, questioning whether the oversight is deliberate, or something is cooking at the background for him. “We expect gifts, recognitions, awards, and scholarships for this young achiever,” Edor says, urging leaders to act.
The people of Agatu are watching, and they’re not pleased. Will these leaders be shamed into doing what’s right or retain their silence on the part of negligence?
