BENUE APC WELCOMES OVER 2000 DECAMPEES IN TARKA LGA. ASSURED THEM OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITY.

The Benue State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) welcomed over 2,000 decampees on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at LGEA Primary School, Wannune, Tarka Local Government Area.

Receiving the new members, APC State Chairman Chief Dr. Benjamin Omale commended them for making a wise decision to join the ruling party, which he described as committed to development and progress. He highlighted the achievements of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, particularly in infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, economic growth, transportation, industry, security, and youth and women empowerment. He also praised Gov. Alia’s administration for creating massive employment opportunities and empowerment programs for Benue citizens.

Chief Omale reassured the decampees of equal opportunity, treatment, benefits and privileges in the party.

Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Hon. Emmanuel Iortyer, the first Executive Chairman of Tarka LGA, expressed gratitude to the APC leadership for welcoming them. He attributed their decision to rejoin APC to the outstanding performance of Governor Alia, particularly in prompt salary payments, pensions, infrastructural development, healthcare, and agriculture. Hon. Iortyer pledged their total loyalty and support for the party and endorsed Governor Alia for a second term.

In his welcome address, Hon. Raphael Yenge, Executive Chairman of Tarka LGA, assured guests of security and a level playing field.

The historic event was graced by prominent Benue Sons and daughters including:

Speaker of the 10th Benue State House of Assembly Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh,
Majority Leader, Benue State House of Assembly Hon. Saater Tiseer and Hon. Ipusu. Commissioner, Benue State House of Assembly Service Commission Hon. Dorcas Faeren Mbatiev and Hon. Dannis Umbur, Member, Benue state House of Assembly Service commission.
