*EGBA/OLOGBA CRISIS: Human Rights Activist Condemns “Kangaroo Justice”, Urges Accountability*
Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor, a renowned Benue State human rights activist and Convener of Agatu National Youth Council (ANYC), has criticized attempts to resolve the Egba-Ologba crisis without addressing the core issue of justice. In a strongly-worded statement, Edor described proposals for government takeover of the disputed land as “another self-deception and political agenda”.
Edor rejected claims by Egba representatives, including Clement OYAJE and Hon. Michael Inalegwu, that the issue predates their leadership or birth, stating that such assertions lack integrity. He emphasized that both communities know the rightful owner of the land and urged stakeholders to “call a spade a spade” rather than perpetuate “kangaroo justice”.
Citing biblical wisdom from King Solomon’s judgment (1 Kings 3), Edor argued that true justice requires identifying the rightful owner, not dividing the land or allowing encroachment. He appealed to Agatu leaders, including Chairman James Melvin Ejeh, Rep. Ojotu Ojema, and Godwin Abu Edoh, to “rewrite history” and ensure justice prevails.
Edor commended efforts by Meddy Olotu Imanoel to promote peace in Idoma land, reiterating his stance: “I am standing for JUSTICE”.

Enough of this fearful muteness, our leaders know the real owner of the contention, calling on government to take over the land is an injustice to the real owner.
This is not a threat but a warning, any kangaroo approach will escalate the crisis more than expected.
Our leaders should call a spade a spade, irrespective of who’s OX is gored.
