NANS ZONE B (SOUTH-SOUTH) CONDEMNS THE KILLING OF 16 IN UROMI, EDO STATE; CALLS FOR URGENT SECURITY MEASURES

*NANS ZONE B (SOUTH-SOUTH) CONDEMNS THE KILLING OF 16 IN UROMI, EDO STATE; CALLS FOR URGENT SECURITY MEASURES*

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone B (South-South) strongly condemns the gruesome killing of 16 individuals (alleged to be kidnappers) in Uromi, Edo State. This act of violence is unacceptable and a tragic loss of lives.

We appeal to citizens to remain calm and refrain from taking the law into their own hands. Upholding the rule of law is crucial in ensuring justice and lasting peace.

We call for an immediate and effective collaboration between the Edo State Government, security agencies, community leaders, and all relevant stakeholders to strengthen security across the state. Proactive measures must be taken to prevent further bloodshed and protect the lives and property of citizens.

*Signed:*

*Comrade Isaac I. Ogieva*

Coordinator, NANS Zone B (South-South)
