Apa-Agatu frontline activist and media strategist, *Comr. Paul G. Edoh Jr*, has addressed concerns over his recent appointment as one of the Media Directors for *Dr. Ottah Francis Agbo’s* 2027 Senatorial campaign on the platform of the *APC*.
The clarification follows questions raised by fellow activist, *Comr. Ochokwunu Daniel Edor*, who sought to know if Edoh Jr. had joined the APC.
In a response made available to _Ochochi through his Facebook account_, Comr. Edoh Jr. said his new role does not equate to party membership.
*His words:*
_“Comradeship and partisan politics are not the same thing. Being a comrade means standing for justice, fairness, accountability, and the interest of the people. Those principles don’t disappear simply because you accept a professional assignment.”_
He explained that his appointment was based on competence, not party affiliation.
_“Dr. Ottah approached me because of what I can contribute, not because of my political affiliation. In politics, just as in every other field, people who are serious about achieving results look for competent and resourceful individuals.”_
Citing precedent, Edoh Jr. recalled working with *Barr. Dave Iorhemba* when he contested under the PDP, noting that he was never a PDP member then.
_“What was sought then, just as now, was my capacity, commitment, and experience, not my party card. That is how serious leaders operate.”_
He urged activists to focus on candidate credibility rather than party labels:
_“Instead of focusing on whether Paul Edoh Jnr has joined APC, I think the more important question is whether Dr Francis Ottah Agbo has what it takes to give Benue South quality representation.”_
Reaffirming his stance, he added:
_“I remain the same Paul Edoh Jnr you have always known. I am a comrade that cannot be bought with money or influenced by sweet words. The day the APC, or any government begins to act against the interest of our people, I will criticize them openly and constructively. My voice has never been for sale since 14 years ago, and it can never be.”_
He concluded by calling for unity to deliver *Benue South to “Ozigiwele”*.
