NAIS participation in the recent empowerment programme organised by Apa legacy sustainable initiative

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF IDOMA STUDENTS NAIS

NATIONAL SECRETARIAT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The National Association of Idoma Students (NAIS) actively participated in a recent empowerment program organized by the Apa Legacy Sustainable Initiative, spearheaded by Hon. Dr. David Olofu PhD. FNIM. FCNA. FCE who is the Senior Technical Adviser to the Nigerian Governors forum, was the immediate past commissioner of finance and economic planning Benue state and chairman of the Forum of Commissioners of Finance of Nigeria.

The event centered on the empowerment of youth, men and women across the 9 Local government area in Benue south is a significant intervention by Dr. Olofu to alleviate the economic challenges faced by residents of Benue South. This initiative is build upon Dr. Olofu’s previous commitment to education, following his disbursement of N10, 000,000 million last year to support students in higher institutions across the senatorial district.

Following the empowerment program at his residence at GRA Otukpo Benue state, the NAIS leadership Comrade Okoh Emmanuel Oche and his exco’s present held a closed-door meeting with Apa born political juggernaut Hon. Dr. David Olofu PhD.

During the meeting they presented a letter of Appreciation on behalf of the union and had discussions focused on securing a scholarship scheme for Idoma students in 2025. Dr. Olofu assured the NAIS delegation of his commitment to support education and directed the student body to engage with the Chairman of the forum Apa Legacy Sustainable Development Initiative to facilitate the implementation of the scholarship program.

Following the proactiveness of the president comr. okoh Emmanuel Oche and his exco’s try engaging the chairman of the forum in his office in order to intercede on behalf of the Association and see possible ways the support could be earlier this year and how the chairman could also intercede on our behalf to see possible increments in the number of students that could get the support.

This moves shows the commitment of the president and all his exco’s in the welfare of all idoma students.

Comrade Okoh Emmanuel oche the national president of NAIS, urges Idoma students to put our sole sponsor of the scholarship scheme in prayers for more grace and Long Life and to also stay informed about upcoming announcements regarding the next phase of the scholarship scheme. “We are working diligently to ensure that the necessary mechanisms are in place for a smooth and transparent process,” Comrade okoh Emmanuel Oche stated. “Further details will be released in due course.”

This development signifies a continious effort by the Apa Legacy Sustainable Initiative to invest in the future of Idoma students, recognizing the importance of education and ensure sustainable development and progress within the senatorial district.
