OBIDIENTS HARMONISATION FORUM (OHF) IN FCT REAFFIRMS UNITY AND COMMITMENT TO VICTORY IN 2027

*OBIDIENTS HARMONISATION FORUM (OHF) IN FCT REAFFIRMS UNITY AND COMMITMENT TO VICTORY IN 2027*

In a crucial move to strengthen unity and resolve disputes within the Obidients Harmonisation Forum (OHF) in the FCT, an emergency meeting was convened on Saturday, March 29, 2025, by the National Chairman of OHF, Comrade Joseph Enan Maigari. The primary goal was to address concerns, rebuild trust, and reinforce the collective vision of the Obidient Movement as Nigeria moves toward the 2027 general elections.

The meeting commenced at 1:54 PM with 24 critical stakeholders and executives in attendance. It opened with prayers led by Rev. Jude, followed by a welcome address from Mr. Joshua Mammah, FCT Chairman of OHF, who expressed gratitude to the attendees for honoring the invitation despite the short notice.

*EMPHASIS ON UNITY, PEACE, AND GRASSROOTS MOBILIZATION*

While addressing the gathering, Comrade Joseph Enan Maigari stressed the need for unity, peace, and resilience in the face of challenges. He reminded everyone that the Obidient Movement is not just about elections but a revolutionary call for a new Nigeria, rooted in integrity, accountability, and good governance.

“We must not allow distractions, discouragement, or opposition forces to derail what we have built. God brought His Excellency Mr Peter Obi to unite us as one family with a shared vision. We must remain focused on strengthening grassroots structures because, without them, our efforts will be in vain—even if Peter Obi finally gives direction.”

To provoke critical thinking, he posed two vital questions to the house:

1. The Obidient Movement won the FCT with over 25% in 2023—are all those who contributed to that victory present in this meeting today?

2. What could prevent us from exceeding 25% in 2027, and how do we tackle it together as one united force?

*STAKEHOLDERS RESPOND: ADDRESSING INTERNAL CHALLENGES*

Several stakeholders took turns responding:

Comrade Yari noted that many Obidients were absent because some were merely observing the movement’s internal dynamics, while others had become disillusioned or compromised.

Amb. Godwin OHF Youth leader clarified that about 65% of those who mobilized for the 2023 elections in the FCT were present at the meeting, emphasizing that this was an OHF caucus gathering. He assured that, given the right strategy, their presence alone could drive massive mobilization beyond expectations.

Bar. Peter Mbah highlighted the importance of reconnecting with Obidient leaders who were absent and rekindling their passion for the movement to surpass their 2023 achievements.

*RESOLVING GRIEVANCES AND MOVING FORWARD*

Concerns were also raised by Elder Ebonna and Elder Chika Nwobur (Supporting advisory council) , who felt excluded from the last OHF-organized workshop. Their grievances were addressed by Dr. Joseph Ndirang, Mr. Joshua Mammah, and Comrade Joseph Enan Maigari, leading to a collective agreement to put the past behind and focus on the future.

” We must learn to forgive and move forward. 2027 is our focus, and we must act as one family committed to a common cause,” the National Chairman reaffirmed.

*KEY RESOLUTIONS AND NEXT STEPS*

Several issues were discussed, leading to concrete resolutions:

1. Multiple Groups Under the Obidient Movement: There was concern over various self-created groups claiming to be linked to Dr. Tanko Yunusa. The Chairman reiterated that all groups should work in synergy and cooperation under Dr. Tanko Yunusa’s leadership to avoid fragmentation.

2. Pre-Summit FCT meeting: It was strongly recommended that Dr. Tanko Yunusa convenes a meeting in the FCT before the Grand Finale Crowd Gathering Summit to ensure alignment and coordination.

3. Aspirants for Area Council Elections: Some members interested in contesting in the upcoming FCT Area Council elections sought clarity on Peter Obi’s stance. The National Chairman assured them that their concerns would be communicated to Dr. Tanko Yunusa, either physically or via a virtual meeting.

Dr. Joseph Ndirang, a Member of the Advisory Council (North Central), assured attendees that there were ongoing plans for a mammoth Obidient Movement Summit in the FCT, with details to be finalized soon.

*THE 5Cs: REMEMBERING WHY WE FOLLOW PETER OBI*

The meeting concluded with a powerful reminder from the National Chairman, reinforcing the core values that define the Obidient Movement:

=Competence

=Credibility

=Compassion

=Character

=Capacity

“Always remember why we stand with Peter Obi. Our movement is built on values, not just politics. Follow the verified handles of Peter Gregory Obi, Dr. Tanko Yunusa, Dr. Moses Paul (Madmo), and Nana Kazaure for authentic information. Let’s remain steadfast.”

*DIASPORA REPRESENTATIVE AND FINAL REMARKS*

In the closing remarks by COMRADE SAMUEL S. OKEHEBUNOR the Diaspora Commission representative, expressed deep appreciation for the unity displayed in the meeting.

“If all those claiming leadership in this movement showed up physically to strategize, our story would be different. We must continue working as one. I just returned to Nigeria, and I promise to engage the Diaspora more actively in this struggle, including securing financial support.”

*CONCLUSION*

The meeting ended with a renewed sense of purpose, commitment, and determination to ensure that the Obidient Harmonisation Forum OHF will not only repeat its 2023 success but achieve an even greater victory in 2027.

The message was clear: UNITY, STRATEGY, and GRASSROOTS MOBILIZATION will determine the future.
