COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF APA/AGATU EXPANDED CAUCUS MEETING OF THE PEOPLE DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) HELD ON SATURDAY, MARCH 29, 2025 AT ONYEBI RESORTS UGBOKPO, APA LG

*COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF APA/AGATU EXPANDED CAUCUS MEETING OF THE PEOPLE DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) HELD ON SATURDAY, MARCH 29, 2025 AT ONYEBI RESORTS UGBOKPO, APA LG*

After series of holistic and painstaking discussions on the state, progress of the People Democratic Party (PDP) and Security situations in Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, the meeting resolved as folllows:

1. *INAUGURATION AND ALLOCATION OF MOTORCYCLES*

PDP successfully inaugurated the newly elected members of the Ward Working Committees of the party from the 21 Council Wards in Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency and the Member representing the Federal Constituency, Hon. Pst Ojotu Ojema shortly after the inauguration, announced the allocation of a motorcycle to each of the 21 new Ward Chairmen and his 21 Wards’ Coordinators in the two LGAs.

2. *VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON OJEMA*

The meeting passed a Vote of Confidence on the Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, Hon. Pst Ojotu Ojema for his outstanding performance in the last one year and half in Office and his relentless Sponsorship of party activities. The motion was moved by Apa LGA PDP Chairman, Hon Abel Aboje and was seconded by Agatu LGA PDP Chairman, Hon Sunday Oteyi after a Yea vote had it. Similarly, all the Stakeholders who spoke during the meeting, followed suit by a unanimous agreement to support Hon Ojotu Ojema’s 2nd term Reelection in 2027 and assured him of their full support.

3. *SECURITY IN APA/AGATU*

The meeting noticed the efforts of Apa and Agatu Local Government Chairmen and other Stakeholders in brokering Peace between the people of the two LGAs and Fulani herdsmen but however expressed grave concern over the ceaseless and wanton destructions of farm produce in the two Government Councils by herdsmen. Consequently, the meeting called on the State Government and Security Agencies to proffer solution that could prevent further destruction of farm produce. The Meeting also warned the people of the Federal Constituency against cow rustling and not to take law into their hands but to allow Security agencies to do their work in the maintenance of peace and security in the land.

4. *COMMITMENT TO PDP*

The meeting charged party members to be more committed, loyal and work assiduously for the Promotion, Growth, Unity and Sanctity of the party, warning party faithful to desist from any act capable of dragging the party to the mold.
