*The Value of Human Life: A Society Gone Twisted*
The recent events in Idoma land have left many in shock and awe. It has become painfully clear that the value of human life has been grossly diminished, while animals, particularly cows, are treated with extreme respect.
Currently in father’s land, the death of 20 cows warrants national level attention, intervention, and special investigation. On the other hand, the murder of 100 people is met with deafening silence. This glaring disparity raises fundamental questions about the state of our society.
Where did we go wrong as a society? Who did we offend to warrant this twisted sense of priorities? What happened to our humanity, empathy, and dignity for human life? These are questions that require urgent answers.
This crisis is not just about the value of human life; it is also a crisis of leadership and institutions. It is a reflection of a society that has lost its way, where the protection of human life is no longer a priority.
We must confront this reality head-on and demand better from our leaders, our institutions, and ourselves. We must reclaim our humanity, our empathy, and our dignity for human life.
The time for change is now. We owe it to ourselves, our children, and future generations to create a society where human life is valued and protected. Anything less is unacceptable.
