GROUPS COMMISERATE WITH OJEMA OVER DEMISE OF HIS STEP-MOTHER

 

–As Ojema announces allocation of more Tricycles, Motorcycles

 

In reciprocating his overwhelming love and Benevolence to his people, different groups on Saturday, 5th March, 2025 in Obagaji, Agatu LGA Headquarters, converged at the residence of the Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on National Inland Waterways, Chief. Hon. Pst Ojotu Ojema FESMI, to commiserate with him over the passing unto glory of his Step-mother, Mama Omeche Oyagondu Ojema.

 

The groups include: the People Democratic Party (PDP), Apa and Agatu LGAs Chapters, Agatu Legislative House, Association of Obagaji Widows, Agatu Development Association (ADA), Apa and Agatu Enlightenment Forums, Apa/Agatu PDP Youth Forums, National Associations of Apa and Agatu Students, Apa/Agatu Ward Coordinators for Ojema, Association of Okada Riders etc

 

The Aboh-OcheK’Idoma in his concise and Precise speech while addressing the groups, thanked them for the show of love, assuring them that his admiration for them has also doubled.

 

“I am overwhelmed by the unprecedented show of love you have displayed for me and the Ojema family. I have wholeheartedly received all the gifts you have presented to me. Today is not a day for a long speech. All I can say now is “Thank You and may God continue to bless you. I wish you safe journey back to your various destinations”, Ojema said.

 

The Performing and Award-winning Federal Lawmaker during the occasion, announced the allocation of more tricycles and motorcycles to more beneficiaries including, the two Apa and Agatu Chairmanship Candidates in the last local government poll in Benue state, Hon Ochokwu Alelu of Agatu and Hon. Barr Ada Oche of Apa LGA. Others include, Former Chairman of Apa LGA, Hon Ameh Akoche and Idu’Oyigebi. New beneficiaries of motorcycles include, Apa and Agatu PDP Vice Chairmen, Secretaries and Youth Leaders.

 

Recall that, Hon Ojema had during the last Apa/Agatu Expanded Caucus Meeting of the People Democratic Party, also announced the allocation of a motorcycle to each of the 21 newly sworn-in PDP Ward Chairmen of the 21 Council Wards and his 21 Ward Coordinators for the two LGAs.

 

Chief Ojema had also in the past few months, empowered thousands of beneficiaries with tricycles, Grinding engines, Sewing machines, Generators, Hair Dressing machines, Clippers, farm equipment, Fertilizers, Scholarship allowances to Apa/Agatu students in Tertiary institutions and payment of tuition fees for exceptional students in all Secondary Schools in the Federal Constituency.

 

Earlier in their separate but similar speeches, PDP Chairman of Apa LGA, the Coordinating Chairman of PDP Chairmen in the 9 LGAs of Benue South, Hon Abel Aboje and his Counterpart from Agatu LGA, Hon Sunday Oteyi said, their visit was to come and commiserate with Hon Ojema over the demise of his Step-mother and present to him the little they had.

 

“You have done so much for PDP in Agatu and we thought it wise to be with you at this time of your grief and present u the little we have. Do not look at the quantity but the heart behind, our leader”, Hon Oteyi submitted

 

“We are here to console you on the demise of your Step-mother. You are a leader the people of Apa hold to a very high esteem because of the unwavering support and love you have shown to us. Since you have refused to abandon us, we will continue to give you our maximum support. The high level of unity in Ojema’s family is a clear indication that late Mama was a God-fearing and a Lover of Peace who played a vital role in uniting the family. May soul of mama continue to rest on in the bosom of the lord”, Hon Aboje prayed.

 

Agatu Local Government Legislative House led by the Leader and the Councillor representing Odugbeho Ward, Hon Simon Anthony and his Counterpart from Ogwule Ogbaulu Ward, Hon Samuel Onuminya said, although they are members of APC, they are flabbergasted by Ojema’s outstanding performance so far, consoling and wishing him more achievements ahead.

 

Representatives of Agatu Development Association, Apa/Agatu PDP Youth Forums, Enlightenment Forums, Ward Coordinators, students and Okada associations, all sympathized with Ojema’s family and eulogized him for being a leader that carries all along, assuring him of their unalloyed support always.

 

In another Development, Chief Ojema also received in audience, members of Obagaji Widows Association, during which he expressed his profound gratitude to them for coming to commiserate with him and his family, praying God to continue to be their helper and assuring them of his continuous support.

 

The Agaba’AnyaK’Idoma and the wife of the Paramount Ruler of Idoma Kingdom, Her Royal Majesty, Chief. Mrs Martha Omabo Elaigwu, appreciated the widows for their show of love to Ojema family, saying the family wasn’t looking at the gift the group brought but the heart behind it.

 

She prayed God for their continuous protection, blessing and good health.

 

Wife of the Federal Lawmaker, Mrs Martha Ojotu Ojema in her speech, thanked the group for coming to identify with Ojema’s family, praying God who is the husband of the widows to continue to comfort, protect and bless them.
