2027: Will Ojotu Ojema truely run after Agatu 20th years of ruling Apa by ANYC

As the 2027 general elections approach, politicians in Apa-Agatu are gradually shifting focus, with many intensifying discussions and making moves aimed at securing power in the next election cycle at all cost.

While the elections are still years away, preparation is currently at a top gear as political office holders within the APC and the PDP and party leaders are already strategizing for the 2027 race.

while others are banking on the zoning formular praying for Ojotu Ojema not to dire contest hence he’s completing the 20th years of Agatu in the political position, silent candidates from Agatu are also strategizing to run if Ojema should dire contest.

This growing preoccupation with the next election has raised concerns among elites and social commentators, who argue that the priority should be governance and fulfilling what the 2024 National Assembly budget captured which presence we are yet to see.

stakeholders in both the ruling and opposition parties have reportedly engaged in various alignments and realignments, including talks of new party formations or mergers, all geared towards securing an advantage ahead of the next general election.

At the same time, some state governments and officials in the current administration have started making moves to strengthen their structure back home.

Political Analyst are concerned about the sudden Philantric of these over night Messiah questioning their timing of these political moves, pointing out that the current administration of Honourable Ojema is yet to fulfil its promises of one single term and they fear the new faces might act like the current lawmaker who came sympathetically and when he took over later did not value advises provided by the electorate.

Comrade Paul Edoh, a journalist and social right critics from Apa, expressed concern over Honourable Ojema’s growing focus on 2027.

“Obviously, it is going to be tough time for us the next generation of political elites in Agatu should Ojema run again, hence he is completing the 20th years of Agatu already and any move might hamper the next generation from contesting hence Apa might want to balance the equation; It’s had time his supporters and advisers sit and advise the lawmaker on the right thing to do rather than decieving him, by talking him about 2027.

“Poverty and hunger are felt everywhere in our land and the youths are the casualty of this outbreak; Ojema can as well organised a youth development initiative targeted at elevating them and stamping out poverty and this should be geared toward entrepreneurship.”

Edoh jr further stated that; “the lawmaker should call for a town hall meeting and address issues raised targeted at him and let him show what he has done with the mandate people gave in 2023, instead of talking about re-election now,”

comrade Paul Edoh Jr told our paper via phone interview.

Public affairs analyst Olachene Otene, a Lagos based Apa son stated that real governance should tackle the immediate challenges facing people, such as economic instability, the welfare of the masses, and the fight against poverty.

“Whatever policies Ojema is implementing, if it does not fight poverty and hunger, it is a failure. The welfare of the masses should be a priority and not by what he is currently doing, if compared to what other lawmakers are doing in other local government and state, we are still far behind the bar and the problem with our people is gullibility. Youths of these days are share embarrassment to their generation, no impactful ideas. Almost what average Apa and Agatu graduate youth pray for is either to be close to one politician for mundane relevance or pray to either be an aid rather than holding these men accountable for lack of good drinkable water in their various villages they prefer stipends, rather than asking this people what they use the zonal intervention fund for, they prefer singing “hallelujah” to who ever is on the throne mortgaging their future and when we talk, they rain insults on us.

If they don’t ask, who will, the same circle of leaders we will continue to come, when they come, they might choose to do what ever suit them with the ZIP fund and get what ever sub-standard Empowerment tools they feel like sharing.

While Some constitutioncy share 200 hundred trycle, and here you see them sharing what I don’t know, the youth are not talking, they don’t asked questions. Same budget is approved, but different lawmaker with different sharing formular.”

“We can’t be talking of elections all the time; rather, we need policies that would fight poverty and hunger in the land now,” Olachene said.

Amid this early politicking, many constituents have grown disillusioned, with critics pointing to ojema’s insufficient response to many questions asked, including the recent media outburst by those under him..

An APC chieftain from the constituenty who plead Ananimos also warned that the 2027 election cycle will not be an easy feat for any political party and not even for Honourable Ojotu Ojema if he wants to embarrass himself.

He stressed that;

” gathering children to sing praises and sharing money to them alone are no longer enough to win the trust of the people, who have grown increasingly wary of political rhetoric that fails to translate into meaningful action.
