OJEMA ATTENDS AGBADUMA DAY, CHARGES THE PEOPLE ON PEACE AND RECONCILIATION
Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on National Inland Waterways, Chief. Hon. Pst Ojotu Ojema FESMI, has charged the people of Agbaduma worldwide to continue with their Peace building and Reconcilation efforts in order to restore peace and lost glory of Agatu land.
Chief Ojema gave this charge on Saturday, 29th March, 2025 while speaking during Agbaduma Day Celebration at Okokolo Market Square, Agatu LGA.
“Let me first of all apologize to you for arriving the venue late. It was due to the Expanded PDP Caucus Meeting I earlier had with party faithful in Ugbokpo, Apa LGA”
“Let me use this opportunity to congratulate and celebrate with Agbaduma worldwide. Happy Agbaduma Day”
“Recall the previous Agbaduma Day Celebration, I told you that I was like one of your sons and I was ready to do what or more than what any of your sons or daughters can do for you. Subsequently. For the time being, I have facilitated the establishment of NIWA Jetty Terminal at Ocholonya Waterway, which is like a boat park, that can ease the burden of transportation processes, checkmate insecurity of your people and that of other riverine communities, Solar lights are being installed to lighten up streets across Okokolo and other Agbaduma predominant communities. More to come”
“Agbaduma is one of the 3 dominant clans in Agatu LGA that was and still known for Peace. This should be maintained. The 2nd Class Chief of Agatu, HRH Chief Godwin Ngbede Onah, is also from Agbaduma. This is to show how great you are in Agatu. Great people always avoid crisis, tolerate, forgive, love one another and leave vengeance for God in order to sustain Peace, Security, Unity and Progress of their land”.
“It is as if the people of Agbaduma love me more than my Adogoji people. I feel at home anytime I am in any Agbaduma community because of the unwavering love you have for me. I can recall during the last Primary election of PDP in 2022, there was a gang-up and a conspiracy that no delegate should cast his/her vote for me. But delegates from Agbaduma and other communities in Agatu East put their heads together and gave me a block vote. I must reciprocate such kind gesture extended to me by Agbaduma and the entire axis. My door is widely opened for Agbaduma and I will swiftly respond anytime I am called upon by the people of Agbaduma”.
“Once again, Congratulations on Agbaduma Day”, Ojema joyously reteirated.
Responding, the Clan Head of Agbaduma, HRH Chief Ezekiel Moses Iyachi, thanked Pst Ojema for attending the occasion despite his busy schedules, saying this singular action shows the serious interest of Agbaduma he has at heart and we truly regard him as our true son.
“You have done so much for our community, appointing some of our sons to work with you, empowering so many of our children, night in our community has become a day as every of our streets is lightened up with Solar Integrated Street Lights you provided, Jetty Terminal at Ocholonya, visiting our community at the time of our heightened insecurity and you have again assured us of more dividends of democracy. Agbaduma Worldwide will continue to give you maximum support, including your reelection in 2027 and beyond”, Chief Iyachi said.
Chief Iyachi added that, Agbaduma community has already prepared an award to be presented to the Aboh-OcheK’Idoma in recognition of his Outstanding performance in just one and half year in office and demonstration of love for our people, saying it would be done at his convenient time.
