ECOMOG’S MURDER: OMALE OMALE SYMPATHIZES WITH APA PEOPLE & THE BEREAVED FAMILY, ASSURES THEM OF SPEEDY INVESTIGATION AND JUSTICE.

The Benue State Honorable Commissioner For Transport, Power and Renewable Energy Chief Barr. Omale Omale has comensurated with the people of Apa local government and the bereaved family over the unfortunate death of Earnest Owoicho popularly known as ECOMOG in ugbokpo the headquarters of Apa local government area of Benue State.
The Akanaba K’Ugboju in a press release at the early hours of today described the development as unfortunate, saddening and highly regrettable.
Omale emphasize that the circumstances sounding the alledeged arrest, toture and subsequent death of Earnest Owoicho will be investigated to ascertain the veracity or other wise of the trending news adding that no stone will be left unturn in ensuring that those involved are brought to face the law.
In his words, Omale Omale was quoted in his press release which was made public on Sunday the 6th April, 2025 as saying:
“We are saddened by the news and information from our LGA last night.
The information was mixed up until my communications with the Council Chairman and his team.
There was immediate security meeting with all heads of security team in Apa LGA and I have gotten brief.
The higher authority of the security formation have been briefed and we enjoyed their assurances of investigation and action.
Let me thanked the Och’Ugbokpo, the Council Chairman of Apa LGC, SA Security Apa LGC, Youth leaders of Ugbokpo Community, Heads of Security Team in Apa LGA, and every one who promptly managed the situation.
Investigation is on going on the matter and we shall follow up to the later.
To the family of the deceased, my sincere apologies on behalf of self and the Government of Benue State for the unfortunate lost of a son.
We commensurate with you and assure you of justice, working together with the appropriate authorities.
For the unfortunate state of insecurity be-devilling our land and our people, the government is on top of the situation as every life truly matters. We are surly better off, but there is more to be done as our people deserves more and are entitled to state protection.

The Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the Local Government Chairman, the Traditional Ruler of Ugbokpo, HRH Chief Noah Adikwu, the Special Adviser to the Local Government Chairman on Security Hon Silvester Abu Amali, Various Ugbokpo Youth leaders, other heads of security formations and units for their prompt intervention which has help in descalating the situation from degenerating to outright reprisal calling on youth to give peace a chance by allowing government wade into the matter dispationately with a view to addressing the misgivings occasioned by the happenings in ugbokpo.
