*Justice Sought in Ernest ‘Ecomog’ Killing as Apa local government council Pledges Action*
As the head of Executive Council of Apa Local Government Area, I emphatically condemn the brutal killing of one of my subjects Ernest, also known as Ecomog, and urged relatives and friends to remain calm as investigations are underway. The council is actively handling the matter and assure the public that those responsible for the young man’s death will be brought to justice.
The killing has raised concerns about security in the area, which has experienced communal clashes in the past,herdsmen kidnapping and among others, particularly over grazing land.
The council’s efforts to address the situation align with the broader role of Local Government Areas in
Nigeria, which includes but not limited to;
Maintaining Law and Order Ensuring peace and security in the community.
The investigation is ongoing, with the council working closely with relevant authorities to ensure a swift resolution to the case. I remain committed to bringing the perpetrators to book as a step towards ensuring peace and security in the community.
The council warns against anyone or group of persons trying to undermine the effort of the government by projecting any false narrative or political agenda.
The council appeal to the general public to go about their lawful businesses as all relevant measures have been put in place to prevent future occurrences.
Signed;
Comr. Adam Ochega Ogwola. The executive chairman of Apa LGA.
