In a scathing criticism, Senior Evangelist Aare Abiodun Oluwarotimi, a prominent Lagos based news publisher of Nigerian concord Newspapers has condemned Senator Abba Moro for prioritizing his reelection campaign over the tragic loss of life in Benue State.
This condemnation follows the deaths of over 280 individuals in Guma and parts of Benue South, who were brutally killed by armed bandits over the weekend.
Oluwarotimi took to his official WhatsApp handle to express his outrage, questioning whether Moro believes his political ambitions surpass the sanctity of human life.
He challenged Moro to explain if he intends to represent the interests of the deceased in the Senate during the next election in 2027.
The news publisher described the zone C senator as “wicked and uncaring,” asserting that only a weak candidate would consider reelection in the face of such tragedy. He vehemently called for a change in leadership, demanding a representative who genuinely values the lives and needs of the community.
As the people of Benue mourn their losses, calls for accountability and empathy from their leaders grow louder. Whether Senator Moro can address these grave concerns remains to be seen, as Oluwarotimi insists that he must provide satisfactory answers ahead of the upcoming elections.
