*AGATU LEADER DISTRIBUTES FOOD TO DISPLACED COMMUNITIES, BUT CRITICS QUESTION PRIORITIES*
Ojotu Ojema has distributed food items to communities in Agatu affected by insecurity, including Iwarri, Ikpele, Ejima, and others. While the effort is commendable, Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor, Convener of Agatu National Youth Council (ANYC), questions the priorities of Agatu leaders.
Edor asks why leaders focus on giving befitting burials rather than preventing crises and ensuring safety. He emphasizes that the distributed food is a temporary solution and that the real need is security and a thriving environment for people to be independent.
Edor also raises concerns about the arrest of Oloche Silas, a leader protecting Agatu people, and accuses leaders of abandoning him. He demands accountability from Agatu leaders, particularly regarding Oloche’s case, and warns that the youth will no longer be silent.
The statement concludes with a call to action, stating that the next step will be to hold individuals accountable for their role in the situation.
