*AGATU YOUTH LEADER EXPOSES LEADERS’ DISUNITY OVER SECURITY CRISIS *
Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor, Convener of Agatu National Youth Council (ANYC), has broken his silence over the herdsmen invasion and arbitrary arrests in Agatu, revealing a shocking level of disunity among leaders.
In a scathing statement, Edor expressed disappointment with leaders’ prioritization of politics over the people’s plause, citing conversations with various leaders, including Hon. Melvin Ejeh, Hon. Godwin Abu Edoh, and Sir John Ngbede.
Edor alleged that leaders are more concerned with power struggles and personal interests than addressing the security crisis, leaving the people to suffer. He urged youths to defend their land but warned against opportunistic attacks on Fulani cows.
The ANYC leader announced that Agatu youth will not be silenced, vowing to take drastic measures if leaders fail to act. He criticized leaders for focusing on 2027 elections rather than the people’s welfare.
Edor’s statement reads: “Until we leave politics and go back to the drawing board of securing the people of Agatu, we are just joking… Should we continue in pain and death while politicians enrich their pockets? God forbid.”
The development has sparked concerns over the future of Agatu’s security and leadership.
