OCHE’AGATU PALACE SCANDAL: Alleged Misappropriation of N105 Million Sparks Outrage

*OCHE’AGATU PALACE SCANDAL: Alleged Misappropriation of N105 Million Sparks Outrage*

 

A controversy has erupted in Agatu Local Government Area over the alleged misappropriation of N105 million meant for the construction of Oche’Agatu’s palace. The Agatu National Youth Council (ANYC) has raised concerns, claiming the funds were diverted and no palace has been built.

 

According to investigations, N70 million was released during Sen. Gabriel Suswan’s tenure, and an additional N35 million was allocated for furnishing. ANYC convener, Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor, alleges the chairman converted a guest house into a palace, questioning the justification.

 

The youth council demands accountability, citing the chairman’s commitment to complete the project this year. They’ve called on lawmakers Hon. Godwin Abu Edoh and Hon. Ojotu Ojema to intervene, ensuring justice for Oche’Agatu and the people of Agatu.
