*AGATU COMMUNITY PRAISES JOHN ANTHONY IKWULONO FOR STAND AGAINST INSECURITY AND INJUSTICE*
The Agatu community is rallying behind journalist and activist John Anthony Ikwulono, commending his unwavering commitment to exposing insecurity and advocating for justice. Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor, Convener of the Agatu National Youth Council (ANYC), praised Ikwulono’s integrity and dedication to the people.
Edor highlighted Ikwulono’s exemplary leadership, citing his handling of a security crisis in Aila as vice chairman, where he prioritized the community’s safety over political considerations. The ANYC convener also thanked Ikwulono for championing the release of Oloche Silas IDUH, a detained Agatu son, and acknowledged the efforts of other leaders, including Hon. Ojotu Ojema and Barrister Joy Oyo Ameh.
The statement criticized Agatu leaders for prioritizing politics over people’s lives and urged the community to support Ikwulono and others fighting for justice. The ANYC is watching the reactions of leaders and won’t hesitate to mobilize youth if necessary.
