*OJOTU OJEMA HAILED AS ONLY PROACTIVE LEADER IN APA/AGATU CONSTITUENCY*
A scathing critique of elected officials in Apa/Agatu constituency has sparked a heated debate, with Ojotu Ojema emerging as the only leader praised for his efforts. Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor, Convener of Agatu National Youth Council (ANYC), accused local leaders of neglecting their responsibilities, particularly in addressing security challenges.
Edor singled out Abuh Umoru, the state assembly member representing Apa, for failing to visit or condemn recent herdsmen attacks, and questioned his fitness for higher office. He also criticized Godwin Abu Edoh and Hon. Ochola, the APA local government chairman, for their silence on security issues.
The statement challenges Comrade Paul Edoh Jnr to speak out on the matter, suggesting that Ojotu Ojema is unfairly targeted while others shirk their duties. Edor commended Ojema for attending to Apa’s needs, despite others being unable or unwilling to do so.
The ANYC convener urged constituents to hold their leaders accountable and called on Ojema’s critics to focus on addressing the constituency’s problems rather than attacking him. The statement has sparked a lively debate, with many calling for accountability and better leadership in Apa/Agatu.
