“ONLY RIGHTEOUSNESS THAT CAN GUARANTEE ETERNITY AFTER DEATH” — OJEMA ADMONISHES CHRISTIANS

 

The Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on National Inland Waterways, Chief. Hon. Pst Ojotu Ojema FESMI, has charged Christians to completely abstain from sins in order to be guaranteed Eternity after death.

 

Pst Ojema gave this admonition on Saturday, March 5, 2025 during the funeral Christian Service in honour of his step-mother, Mrs Omeche Oyagondu Ojema at his family compound Obagaji, Agatu LGA.

 

Taking his Funeral Oration from Gen 3:19 which says, “from Dust we came and to Dust we shall return”, Pst Ojema charged Christians to accept death as an inevitable transition to either heaven or hellfire, depending on your relationship with God.

 

“As Christians, what should worry us is not death as it is a journey everyone must undergo but our lives after death. We should be bothered whether the life we live can guarantee us Eternal Life”.

 

“Mama Omeche was a God-fearing woman right from the beginning till death. She lived a life worthy of emulation.

 

“Mama taught us how to live a life devoid of sins, how to read alphabets and the Bible in our own language”

 

“The mammoth crowd that characterized the the wake-keep and funeral service of Mama shows that, she was good to everyone. The prayer of every parent is, to be buried by his/her children in a well attended funeral such as this. May God grant mama Eternal Life in heaven”, Pst Ojema prayed.

 

The Aboh-OcheK’Idoma thanked all those who found time out of their busy schedules to attend the wake-keep and final interment of Mama Omeche, wishing them safe journey back to their various destinations.

 

In attendance include; Party stalwarts of the People Democratic Party (PDP), other parties from Agatu, Apa, Makurdi, Otukpo etc, Clergymen and women, friends, Political Associates of Chief Ojema, friends and members of the bereaved family, mourners and well wishers
