OFFICIAL NOTICE OF POSTPONEMENT OF EMERGENCY SPECIAL PEACE AND SECURITY MEETING IN AGATU LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL, BENUE STATE.
Monday–June 16, 2025.
We regret to inform you that the Emergency Special Peace and Security Meeting, previously scheduled for June 17, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Local Government Secretariat, Obagaji, has been postponed.
The postponement has become necessary due to the unexpected visit of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Benue State on Wednesday.
Furthermore, the Inspector General of Police, the Chief of Defence Staff, and heads of intelligence agencies, amongst others are already in the state, and their engagements with government officials and stakeholders coincide with the scheduled date of the meeting, making it impractical to hold the meeting as planned.
A new date for the meeting will be communicated to all invitees in due course. We apologize for any inconvenience this postponement may cause and appreciate your understanding in this matter.
We tender our sincerest apologies for the postponement and appreciate your patience and cooperation.
We look forward to your participation in the rescheduled meeting.
