AGATU YOUTH STAKEHOLDERS Forum ABANDONED Internal crisis, herdsmen attacks to fight Idoma renowned activist Meddy over leaked voice note.
In the heat of communal crisis heating Agatu for decades, Fullani herdsmen killing Agatu for years unresolved of either the communal crisis or the herdsmen attacks.
An umbrella named “Agatu YOUTH Stakeholders Forum” which by their name seem to be the highest decision making body of Agatu, who has overtime lost their voice and strength in the fight against speaking out the truth in resolving internal crisis that has left them shattered and unrelated for years, particularly Ologba and Egba, or been able to fight for its people against the herdsmen attacks leaving AGATU a national homicide center, suddenly find voice and strength in picking up a fight against an Idoma activist Meddy Olotu over a voice note which is likely to have leaked out from their group and spread across social media like fire.
The chairman of the forum Umar Sheriff Mohammed, under the approval of the group through their letterhead paper issued a threat to Meddy to tender a public apology and demand he review his source of information that was spread across, spoken on, by Meddy.
Over some days now, there has been rumours of an alleged case of Agatu YOUTH rustication of Fullani cows, making meriments with the meat and this spread across length and breath of social media, and as an activist for justice and good moral, Meddy condemned the attitude and advice Agatu YOUTH not to call for trouble when peace has been restored.
In a bid to handle this matter, the president of the forum Umar Sheriff Mohammed instead of cautioning his house and put it in order against privacy of information as claimed in the letter, he took their ignorance to the public issuing a threat to Meddy to provide his source of information in this regard.
It’s also alleged that the president of the forum Umar Sheriff Mohammed is seeking for a 3rd class chief position, and has wanted to use this to convince the people to believe he can fight for his people not knowing how his ignorance has been so loud in the public.
As at the time of this report, Meddy has not responded to this request and from all indications, as evident in one of his videos posted after receiving this letter, he won’t be responding to this request sooner or later.
We await the feedback from the forum if they are going to press legal charges as claimed in their letter.
