- Senator Abba Moro hosts Okpokwu APC, secures endorsement for 2027
The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro PhD on Friday received Okpokwu APC on a courtesy visit at his Otukpo residence. The delegation was led by the local government party chairman, Hon. Itodo Boniface.
Speaking on behalf of the party faithful, Hon. Itodo eulogized Senator Moro and praised him for his quality representation in the senate and his enduring legacies in the entire senatorial district. He said the recently established Federal College of Agriculture and Technology, Opialu-Ojapo, and the North Central Development Commission, sponsored by the senator were a testament of his legislative prowess and capacity.
He said APC in Okpokwu was satisfied with the senator’s performance and had no option than to come and identify with him and also endorse him for 2027. He called on all men and women of goodwill in Benue South, irrespective of party affiliation, to rally round the senator and ensure he continues his good works for the senatorial district beyond 2027.
Senator Moro, in his response, thanked the APC leaders for the visit. He said he had always seen himself as senator of everyone in Zone C, including APC members, and assured that he would continue to serve the people and put the interest of Zone C ahead of any other interest.
He said his doors remained open at all times and urged the APC members to always talk to him.
Senator Moro was also in Ibilla Council Ward of Oju LGA for the burial of Mrs Comfort Agogo.
In his funeral oration, Senator Moro said Mrs Comfort was a loyal and dedicated party woman who contributed greatly to the fortune of PDP in Benue South. He said the death of the woman was a great loss to the party, Ibilla and Oju at large, and prayed God to grant her soul eternal rest.
