Senator Abba Moro awarded Nigeria’s Democratic Leader Of The Year in UK

The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro PhD, was on Sunday conferred with the Nigeria’s Democratic Leader Of The Year award in The United Kingdom.

The award conferment was at the Nigeria Golden Hearts Awards International 2025 And The Unveiling of Profile Magazine, 9th Edition, which held at the Hilton Leeds City Hotel, Leeds City Centre, Leeds, United Kingdom.

While conferring the award on Senator Moro, the CEO, Festus Odunze, said the senator was an outstanding personality, a humanitarian and goodwill ambassador who’s providing quality leadership and representation that stand him out amongst his peers.

He said they found the senator worthy of the award, having left footprints in offices he has held in the past and currently holding as the senator representing Benue Zone C, as evident in his legislative activities and constituency projects.

In his speech, Senator Moro thanked the CEO and his team for the recognition. He said his being in politics was not for any personal gain but for the good of the people, stating that he would continue to serve his people and Nigeria at large. He assured the organizers that he would never disappoint them at home.

Other awardees included the governor of Abia State, Alex Otti; Immediate past Mayor of Leeds Hon. Abigail Marshall Katung; Former chairman of Otukpo LGA and Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President, Chief George Ali; and others.
