*AGATU PEACE FESTIVAL 2025: A RESOUNDING SUCCESS*

 

The Agatu Peace Festival, held today, December 29, 2025, at Arabic Primary School, Quararafa Quarters, Makurdi, has been hailed a success. The event, themed “THE PLACE OF PEACE IN SOCIAL POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT”, brought together prominent leaders, traditional rulers, and community members.

 

The highlight of the festival was the presence of the Och’Idoma and Paramount Ruler of Idoma Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Agabaidu Dr. Elaigwu Odogbo Obagaji John, CON, who graced the occasion and gave his Royal blessings. Other dignitaries included the Ad’Agatu HRH Chief Dr. Godwin Ngbede Onah, Hon. Member Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency Pst Dr. Ojotu Ojema, and Chairman Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alh. Abubakar Adamu [1].

 

The event featured a peace ritual performed by Evang. Michael Ewache and Malam Haruna, as well as cultural performances by Samaila Dancers Akpanaja and Iwagwu masquerade. The festival was anchored by John Anthony Ikwulono, Royal Master of Ceremony and Secretary, Central Planning Committee (CPC).

 

The Agatu community thanks all attendees and looks forward to continued peace and development in the region.
