Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor has made a direct appeal to Fulani herdsmen operating in Agatu, calling for peace and an end to violence in the land.
Speaking on behalf of the Agatu Indigenous Youth Association (AIYA), Comr Edor stated:
“We beg all domestic Fulani herdsmen to please remove their hand from Agatu and let us have peace in our land.”
The statement comes amid ongoing tensions and calls for lasting solutions to insecurity affecting farming communities across Agatu Local Government Area.
Comr Edor reiterated that the people of Agatu desire peace and coexistence, but urged all parties to respect lives, farmlands, and the territorial integrity of the community.
“We are a peace-loving people. Our only request is to live and farm without fear. Let us have peace,” he added.
