*DISAPPOINTING: “YOU CAMPAIGN WHILE YOUR BROTHER ROTS IN CHAINS” — AIYA LEADER SLAMS AGATU YOUTH OVER OLOCHE SILAS IDUH’S DETENTION*
_Obagaji, Agatu – April 30, 2026_
Disappointment has trailed the continued detention of Oloche Silas Iduh, as Comr Ochokwunu Daniel Edor, Convener of the Agatu Indigenous Youth Association (AIYA), condemned Agatu youths for prioritizing politics over justice.
In a scathing statement, Comr Edor accused the youth of misplacing their energy on nomination campaigns while one of their own remains in custody.
“If AGATU youth put half of the energy they are uselessly using to celebrate nomination form now to demand accountability for Oloche Silas IDUH arrest, am sure by now he won’t be there,” he said.
Referencing a video detailing Iduh’s situation, Comr Edor maintained that Oloche was not arrested for terrorism, stealing, fighting, manipulation, kidnapping, or terrorizing anyone. “He was defending his people,” he insisted.
He alleged that Oloche was betrayed and handed over to enemies without empathy or remorse. “He was betrayed, picked up, handcuffs, handed over to the enemy without empathy, without remorse.”
Comr Edor expressed deep dissatisfaction with the youth’s silence, stating that instead of demanding Iduh’s release, “the only thing they know how to do best, is campaign for who is best, who is qualified, and who is not, shame!!!!”
“One day I pray it will be your turn and you will see how it feels,” he added.
He dismissed claims that intelligence led to the arrest. “I can say it any day anytime, Oloche is never arrested through any intelligence, he was arrested through betrayal by the same leaders we cherish so much.”
According to him, Oloche was merely “a bait to get to other people in their own fight against each other.” He warned those responsible: “Our God will expose you all, release our Oloche for us before our God will take you.”
