*Constituents Demand Answers on Detained Member as Agatu Leaders Celebrate Political Wins, Birthday*
_Agatu, Benue State_ — Residents of Agatu Local Government Area have congratulated two prominent political leaders on recent milestones while renewing calls for accountability over the continued detention of a constituent, Mr. Oloche Silas Iduh.
In a public statement signed by Comr. Ochokwunu, the community extended congratulations to Hon. Ojotu Ojema on his success in the recent primary election. The statement described the outcome as “well earned” and pledged continued support through the general polls.
The same message also celebrated Hon. Godwin Abu Edoh on his birthday, wishing him strength, wisdom, and good health in the new year.
However, the congratulatory note shifted to demand answers on the status of Mr. Oloche Silas Iduh, who constituents say remains in detention. The statement questioned why leaders continue to “protect their own fathers, mothers, siblings, and the very members of the constituency they represent” while Iduh remains held.
“Leadership comes with a duty to your people. We need an explanation on why Mr. Oloche Silas Iduh remains in detention,” the statement read.
The message ended with repeated calls for clarity on his whereabouts:
_“WHERE IS OLOCHE SILAS IDUH?
WHERE IS OLOCHE SILAS IDUH?
WHERE IS OLOCHE SILAS IDUH?”_
As of press time, Hon. Ojotu Ojema and Hon. Godwin Abu Edoh have not publicly responded to the questions raised regarding the detention.
The development adds to ongoing conversations in Agatu around security, representation, and the relationship between elected officials and their constituents.
