*CHAIRMAN ISSUES ULTIMATUM TO FULANI HERDSMEN, CALLS FOR CITIZEN VIGILANCE*

The Executive Chairman of Apa Local Government Area, Comrade Adam Ochega Ogwola, has issued a one-week ultimatum to all categories of Fulani herdsmen in the local government area to vacate the premises immediately. This directive is aimed at ensuring the safety and security of Apa citizens, who have been subjected to incessant attacks and killings by the herdsmen.

The chairman’s reaction came on the heels of a disturbing report presented by the Committee for Peace and Reconciliation between Fulani Herdsmen and Farmers in the local government area. The committee’s update highlighted the continued killing of innocent citizens of Apa LGA, prompting Comrade Ochega to take decisive action.

In his response, the chairman instructed the committee to inform the Fulani herdsmen to leave Apa land within the stipulated timeframe. He emphasized that Apa land belongs to Apa citizens and not to herdsmen. Comrade Ochega also charged the committee to be vigilant and ensure that the herdsmen comply with the directive.

Furthermore, the chairman appealed to all citizens of Apa to be security conscious and report any strange faces or occurrences to the nearest security agencies. He urged the citizens to support him in his efforts to safeguard Apa and restore peace to the area.

Comrade Ochega expressed his deep pain and sadness over the continued killing of his citizens, declaring “enough is enough” to the senseless violence. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the people of Ojantele/Akpete ward, who recently suffered an attack by the same herdsmen.

In conclusion, the chairman directed all security agencies in Apa to enforce the order and ensure that the herdsmen vacate the area within the specified timeframe. He cautioned citizens against taking the law into their own hands, emphasizing the need for peaceful coexistence and respect for the law.

*Signed:*

Comr. Ogili Ogili.

Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Apa LGA.
